Loot Boot:
Richard did the Loot Boot in Andrew’s absence. Karen gave in honor of TAMU whooping UT. Lawrence gave for his guest Leah and the lawnmower he made into a 4-wheeler for his granddaughter. Grant gave for honoring his Father’s passions: Rotary and quail hunting.
Camille gave for the receipt of some grant funding. Jerry for his two culinary questions regarding bacon and oatmeal and the Austin Playhouse. Lee gave for his pending drive to Dumas for hunting pheasants. Suzann gave for the ornaments being sold by the ELKO, NV club and jewelry next week. Ben gave in search of someone to take his place this Saturday at the 11th Street Beautification Project.

Announcements:
The Ronald McDonald House meal is scheduled for December 6th.

Speaker Highlights: Speaker were introduced by Suzann Madeley. The speaker, Russ Jones, gave a convincing talk on the futility of the War on Drugs, which he characterized as a war on the American People. Despite the trillion dollars of spending, the drug problem is worse than ever before and people’s lives are often destroyed by the conviction on their records. Mr. Jones supports a program of regulation which would render the drug cartels powerless and run them out of business.

Lonnie did the Loot Boot in Andrew’s absence. Richard gave for TTU coach Mike Leach. Phyllis gave for her guest. Lee gave in honor of our speakers today. Camille gave for getting grants, in hopes of getting more grants, for her daughter returning home and for Mr. Read who is a great American and Texan. Ben gave reminding everyone of the 11th Street Beautification Project scheduled for December 1st. He will be out of town and needs someone to assume the lead. Bill gave for Richard and TTU. Fred gave for missing a few meetings and as a reminder of the upcoming Ronald McDonald House meal on December 6th. Our speaker, Mr. Read, gave for his late wife and two daughters.

Announcements:
The Ronald McDonald House meal is scheduled for December 6th. There will not be a meeting next Wednesday due to the Thanksgiving Holiday. Carleton reminded us about the upcoming fund raiser in February and briefly spoke on the meal plans etc.etc.

Speaker Highlights: Speaker were introduced by Carole Bleakney. The speakers did a splendid job of presenting some Texas history and commentary. Mr. Read handled Jim Wright’s first campaign for Congress. He also worked in John Connally’s 1962 run for Governor. Mr. Read was in the motorcade when JFK was assassinated in Dallas on November 22, 1963 (where were you?) Both Mr. Read and his daughter did a wonderful job. It was suggested that he write a book about his experience with the assassination. After the presentation, the speakers took questions.

Lawrence gave for his beautiful wife’s birthday and for the birthday of their daughter Amy. Tim gave for the horns winning. Phyllis gave for Lawrence being present despite being on vacation. Suzann gave because Lt was here and she didn’t have to take notes.

Announcements:
The Ronald McDonald House meal went well last week. The board meeting was yesterday. Carleton paid for his 6 tickets for the find raiser and asked everyone to pay soon so we’ll have the funds to pay the theatre etc. The fund raiser is scheduled for Fen 13th. Lawrence mentioned the many opportunities for giving to the Foundation. Phyllis asked that the status of her donations be checked for accuracy. Phyllis asked about donations to the Act of Love group for Ft. Hood.

Speaker Highlights: Richard introduced our speakers today. Our speaker today was The Yellow Tape Construction Company with Amanda Butterfield as the main spokesperson. She and the others in her group put on a skit and sang some songs to give us examples of the type work they do in their theatre group. The works were well done and the group enjoyed the presentations. The group can be found at www.yellowtape.org. After the presentations, the group took questions.
